Level 1
Labourer
- No previous job history, entry level.
- Very basic, no understanding of trade/materials
- Needs to be coachable and follow directions.
- Willingness to learn.
- Able to keep a clean and safe jobsite.
Technician
- 12-24 months full time in same industry.
- Very good understanding of trade/materials.
- Able to clearly explain tasks and communicate info to all co-workers.
Forman
- Responsible for overseeing all employees.
- Able to keep the crew on schedule.
- Ability to order and maintain materials, and keep track of hardware inventory in trailer.
Level 2
- 6-12 months full time in same industry.
- General understanding of trade/materials.
- Needs to be coachable and follow directions.
- Has knowledge and has ability to keep a clean and safe jobsite.
- Able to explain simple tasks to level 1 laborers.
- 24+ months full time in same industry.
- Expert understanding of trade/materials.
- Able to lay out framing and cut stringers independently.
- Able to self start and explain daily tasks to all.
- Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans.
- Produce schedules and monitor attendance of crew.
- Delegate general and daily responsibilities.
- Ensure manpower and resources are adequate.
- Guarantee all safety and quality is met.
- Clearly explain to owner any tasks and change orders.
- Ability to quote time and materials.
